Garima

Co-founder

Garima graduated in law before completing her Teach For India Fellowship. Her passion lies in working towards justice and equality. She also works for animal welfare. Currently, she is the Founder Managing Partner at Magestic Legal.

Rishabh

Co-founder

Rishabh is always keen to pursue causes that improve participatory democracy and reduce inequality in all forms. At Samarthya, he worked on strategy, program design and implementation. He loves to eat, travel and talk.

Ketika

Program Manager

Ketika is an engineer from VITU. During the 4 years of engineering, she started out as a teacher in Make A Difference(MAD) and moved to coach such teachers & run the program in a shelter home as the Center Head Fellow. Beginning her career as a data analyst in Mu Sigma, she decided to quit and continue her journey in the development sector. She did the Teach for India Fellowship, teaching 5th graders in Bangalore for 2 years, post which, was a part of the Punjab Education Collective since its’ inception. She deeply believes in people power as a tool for change.

Narendra

Co-founder

Narendra is a civil engineering graduate with passion for social impact. Narendra has previously worked with Larsen and Toubro, and was a recipient of the Build India Scholar program. As a Teach for India fellow, he taught 96 kids in primary and upper primary grades. He was able to ensure zero dropout of the kids during transition from primary to upper primary grades. During the fellowship, Narendra Co-founded Samarthya with an aim of ensuring democracy and decentralisation in public school governance. Post fellowship He worked with a rural development organisation and was able to reform governance of Self Help Group Federations and Farmer Producer Organisation as a promoter representative.Narendra is passionate about ensuring quality education for all, especially migrant communities.

Sanjay

Co-founder

Sanjay has worked as HR Manager before completing his Teach For India Fellowship. He has worked with organizations like MAD and KKM in the past. He currently works with Shikshalokam as a part of the Punjab Education Collective.

Saket

Co-founder

Saket’s passion is somewhere at the cusp of Education, Employment, and Technology. Happy to do cold coffee pe charcha on Employment, Mentorship, and Starwars.

Sahil

Cofounder and Lead, Deveopment and Communications

Sahil Babbar is a Teach For India and BITS Pilani Goa Alumni. Sahil graduated with an integrated degree in M.Sc (Hons) Mathematics from BITS Pilani Goa in 2015, post that he did the Teach For India fellowship in which he taught 49 students in grades 4th and 5th grades. Sahil co-founded Samarthya during the fellowship and currently looks after development and communications. Sahil is passionate about democracy and ensure people have greater control over the kind life they lead. Sahil was selected in the BITSAA Top 30 Under 30 for his work in Social Entrepreneurship.

Sidharth

Co founder, and Lead, Program Implementation

Sidharth’s journey in development sector started in his college days with a Chandigarh based NGO , Teach A Child Foundation. He graduated with a B.Sc. from Punjab University and post that , joined Teach For India fellowship in Delhi where he was teaching 6th graders for 2 years. He loves exploring new places to eat and travelling in trains.

Ishpreet

Co-founder

Ishpreet co-founded Samarthya along with a group of like-minded, passionate individuals with the vision to improve education and governance at grassroots level. At Samarthya he worked on program strategy and operations till 2019. He has a keen interest in all things education, entrepreneurship and technology.
